Behnaz Sarafpour is an American designer and member of the CFDA. Behnaz graduated from Parsons School of Design with a B.F.A. in fashion design. Prior to launching her own collection in 2001, she held the post of V.P. Of design at Barney’s New York.

Behnaz was a finalist of the first CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund and has received several nominations for the CFDA’s Swarovski Award for Women’s Ready to Wear. Since her brand’s debut she has collaborated with Target, Tiffany & Co., Lancôme, Hewlett-Packard, Manolo Blahnik, and Van Cleef & Arpels. Her works have been exhibited at the FIT Museum in New York and the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, as well as the Smithsonian’s permanent collection in Washington D.C.

Behnaz has been a pioneer in designing eco-friendly products since 2008 as part of her collections.
Behnaz was honored by First Lady Michelle Obama at the White House as the winner of the 2013 National Design Award for fashion design.
In 2015, Behnaz collaborated with the U.S. State department in a program to promote entrepreneurship in the United States.

2018 marked the launch of BEHNAZ fragrances, all single note natural fragrances for body, hair and home, all inspired by the natural world.
