- What is natural fragrance made of? Natural fragrance is a fragrance which is made entirely of materials found in nature, meaning no synthetic ingredients.
- Are BEHNAZ fragrances genderless? Our fragrances are made for everyone, or rather anyone who enjoys the experience of being in nature.
- What is a single note fragrance? BEHNAZ fragrances are intended to mimic the experience of being in nature and experiencing botanicals as nature intended. We believe in quality over all else, and celebrate the nuance and complexity of flowers as they are found in nature by using one single potently fragrant botanical in each scent.
- Are BEHNAZ fragrances vegan? Yes, we only use botanicals in our fragrances. No animal products, and no animal testing.
- Are natural fragrances safe? Natural fragrances are a great choice for those who tend to be allergic, or sensitive to most synthetically made perfumes. BEHNAZ fragrances are made with steam distilled essential oils from botanical sources, and flower waters. Unlike most man made perfumes, we do not use any ingredients that are derived from petrochemicals which have been found to be endocrine disrupters and carcinogens.
- Is there any benefit to using natural fragrance? Yes, our natural fragrances contain real essential oils which give you real aromatherapy benefits. Depending on your choice they can be energizing, calming, or grounding.
- How long does natural fragrance last? Natural fragrance contains organic ingredients which are sensitive to heat and direct sunlight. We recommend you use your fragrance within one year from purchase date, and keep at room temperature and not in direct sunlight.
- What is the difference between your water-based and alcohol-based fragrances? BEHNAZ water-based fragrances which are Pure Rose Pure Neroli and Pure Jasmine are flower waters and can be used more liberally on your hair and body. BEHNAZ alcohol-based fragrances which are Pure Vetiver, Pure Ylang Ylang and Pure Oud, are a mixture of steam distilled botanical oils and organic alcohol. These fragrances are more intense and longer lasting and meant to be applied to the skin in the same way as traditional perfume.
- Can I get individual fragrance samples? Anytime you are placing an order of a full size bottle we are happy to include one free sample of a different fragrance for you to try. Just let us know when you place your order. If you are new to natural fragrances, we offer our mini discovery set which includes samples of all six fragrances for you to try.
- Can I customize my fragrance flight? We can absolutely put together a special box of any three fragrances of your choice, so you can layer your favorite elements, and creat your own custom scent. We can even create a box full of the same single favorite scent so you can keep one at home, carry one in your bag or car, and even have an extra to share with a loved one. Just let us know your preference before you order.
